Omni-Man is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as a part of Kombat Pack 1 DLC

NetherRealm is making moves regarding Mortal Kombat 1 to meet the fan’s expectations. They are including a new character as a part of the first Kombat Pack that adds several characters to the game’s roster.

The first character from the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1 will be Omni-Man from Robert Kirkman’s Invincible Comic Book series. The Kombat Pack 1 releases on November 9th and is priced at USD 39.99.

Mortal Kombat 1 - Official Omni-Man Gameplay Trailer

The release and gameplay showcase trailer for Omni-Man portrays him as a pretty overpowered character. He shares the same powers as Injustice’s Superman.

The powers are super-speed, superhuman strength, and flying abilities. Using his super-speed, he can get behind enemies in a flash. The superhuman strength and flying abilities allow him to overpower the enemy very quickly.

A very broken move was also shown for Omni-Man, wherein he can dodge four attacks by the enemy by twisting his body. This could come in very handy during close combat.

The Fatality move was also revealed. It was an ode to the train scene in the Invincible Series’ first season. Here, Omni-Man’s opponent shares the ill fate that befalls the passengers on the train as well.

The outro seen in the trailer shows Omni-Man holding up a large boulder. This refers to Episode 2 of the animated series’ first season titled “Here Goes Nothing.”

Besides Omni-Man, the trailer also showed us a glimpse of Tremor’s powers. Tremor, initially introduced as playable in Mortal Kombat X, appears as a Kameo character now.

With the release of Kombat Pack 1 fast approaching on November 9th, fans are excited to lay their hands on Omni-Man, who seems to be a ready for victory.

About Mortal Kombat 1

Developer NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed Mortal Kombat 1, the next chapter in its long-running fighting game series, which was released on September 19th. It takes on that name, rather than the expected Mortal Kombat 12 name, because–as previous teasers hinted at–Mortal Kombat 1 is a sort-of-reboot of the series and takes place in the New Era timeline established by Liu Kang after he ascended to godhood in 2019’s Mortal Kombat 11.
