In chapter 256 of Tokyo Revengers, Sanzu explained to the duo that when the location of the battle was established, he repeatedly came to inspect the place to formulate a plan to kill everyone if needed.
Sanzu needs some space from everyone but Mikey. Neither allies nor enemies matter to him, as long as Mikey is okay.
Sanzu then draws his signature katana after saying his piece. Kaucho immediately recognizes it and asks if Yasuhiro Muto used this katana to kill him.
Sanzu moves toward Takemichi to kill him. Sakucho protects Takemichi and suffers injuries as a result.

1. Chapter 256 Raw Scans, Leaks
The raw scans of Chapter 256 are now out. Kakucho’s injury from the last chapter looks quite awful and Takemichi’s face shows worry and concern for him. Sanzu approaches Takemichi from the back, seemingly to attack or take him as a hostage. A flashback event shows Sanzu having a conversation with Mikey, his outfit indicating that it took place right before the birth of Kanto Manji Gang.
One of the panels suggests that Takemichi and Sanzu are inside the train, with another panel showing the lights of a moving train from far away. The train rushes towards the Tokyo Manji members who are still fighting.
2. Chapter 256 Discussion
Kakucho and Sanzu have begun the fight so the next chapter will focus on this. It is now only the fight that remains since the exchanges and battle cries have been completed.
With Kakucho’s announcement, “Right now I will fight for you, Takemichi,” we are further convinced that these two best friends are about to reunite. Kakucho consistently asks the right questions that may lead him to uncover Takemichi’s supernatural abilities.
In addition, we did not witness Takemichi being gored like he always is, and this is a welcome relief. Taking some extra steps to prevent the vision during the fight may also be necessary for Takemichi.
As powerful criminals, Kakucho and Sanzu share a close friendship. Consequently, either one of them could win this fight. More on that will be revealed in subsequent chapters.

Therefore, he had deliberately intended to smash everyone under the train and the holders, whether they were Toman or Kanto Manji. He immovably announces several of the individuals in his group are not even a thought in his mind.
Sanzu’s sudden draw of a katana, meant to finish Takemichi off, was unexpected. Takemichi’s strength and reflexes allow him to throw Kakucho to the ground and take the attack on himself. Fortunately, the katana grazes his shoulder.
Defending Sanzu, Kakucho asks if he had slain Mucho with this katana before. Sanzu remains silent. Afterward, he says that he has never loved him since they were in Tenjiku, and Sanzu says he has never preferred him either.
In the wake of their extreme collaboration, they release a rallying cry and prepare for battle. Sanzu and Kakucho exchange numerous blows. Kakucho manages to land strong punches on Sanzu despite being in a difficult position.
Kakucho’s history is briefly revealed during this battle. He speaks of losing his family to a crash and being the sole survivor in his speech. From that point forward, he grew increasingly sad, to the extent that he disposed of his family name to re-sharpen himself.
After taking Izana and Takemichi into his arms, he regained himself. In an attempt to thank them, he says that his life wasn’t so terrible because of them. As the part ends on a profound note, a shocking image of Kakucho covers each of the two pages.
