3. Episode 9 Recap
As the year ends, Himuro looks back on all his memories with Fuyutsuki. Everyone at the office cleans their desks for the holiday break. Himuro and Fuyutsuki go home together, and she is surprised to find that Himuro gets cold because of his cold hands. Since her hands are usually warm, she holds his, leading to Himuro creating a blizzard out of happiness.
Yukimin asks Himuro to help create 108 snowmen for her stream. Himuro tells her they aren’t as easy to make. She shows him a picture of Fuyustuki leading to him creating snowmen, and he yells at her to respect her big brother, flustered.
Komori invites everyone to do an online New Year’s Eve party, and everyone joins with drinks in their hands. Fuyutsuki gets up to show Nyanmero to everyone and accidentally reveals that she is wearing her high school track pants. Himuro creates another blizzard due to her cuteness.
Katori and Otonashi join in. The night continues with them chatting and drinking, and Katori suggests going together for their first shrine visit.
Everyone is excited, but Komori tells them she has some family business to attend. After everything is decided, they leave one by one. Fuyutsuki and Himuro remain back and wish each other a new year as the clock strikes 12.
Himuro has an ominous nightmare of pulling incredibly bad fortune slips. He meets up with Saejima, Otonashi, and Katori. Seeing that Fuyutsuki is absent, he remembers his dream, but his worries soon turn into joy as Fuyutsuki arrives in a beautiful kimono.
Everyone gets separated again due to the crowd. Fuyutsuki almost falls down, but Himuro quickly helps her up. They hold hands to prevent separating. Himuro’s blizzard is so big that the others soon find them.
Suddenly, Komori arrives and is surprised to see everyone. She reveals that her family owns the shrine, and she is working as the shrine maiden on New Year’s. Saejima gives her a protective charm he bought earlier, which makes her incredibly happy.
Fuyutsuki and Himuro pray together. Himuro wishes to come to revisit the shrine with her the next year.
Himuro is relieved to pull out a medium luck slip. He overhears Otonashi talking with Fuyutsuki about her birthday next month. He grows anxious as he sees that his overall luck is described as a violent storm when Fuyutsuki’s birthday is so close.
