Episode 8 Recap
This episode starts with Nishikata asking Takagi to accompany him after school. Nishikata takes Takagi on top of a hill and acts as if things are going well.
Takagi has her suspicions, but Nishikata says there is nothing to worry about.
In reality, Nishikata plans to ask Takagi the total number of steps they climbed, considering she hasn’t been on the hilltop.
As they reach the top, Takagi tells Nishikata the view is beautiful. Nishikata checks out the view and gets asked why he brought Takagi to the spot.
Nishikata reveals it was for a contest and asks how many steps they climbed up. Takagi quickly says the number, which stuns Nishikata. Nishikata wonders how she got the number to which Takagi reveals the hilltop is famous for couples.
The number of steps on the hilltop is the same pronunciation as ‘Sweet love,’ which made the spot famous.
Realizing the information, Nishikata blushes with embarrassment, considering he brought Takagi to such a spot in the first place.
Takagi bursts out of laughter after finding that Nishikata didn’t know about the hilltop. Since Nishikata lost the contest, Takagi tells him to bring her to this spot someday. In the next part, Takagi and Nishikata visit a book store to check some books.
Nishikata comes across a special movie offer for his favorite series but realizes it’s for couples only. Thinking about the chances to get the offer, he wonders if he should as Takagi but knows he will get teased.
Later Takagi states his desire to pick DVDs for each other to watch. As the duo finishes picking the movies out, they head home. While returning home, Takagi feels she never gets the courage when a good opportunity arises.
That night, after Nishikata watched the movie Takagi recommended, he found it great. Realizing Takagi has good taste, he plans to ask her for more recommendations. Nishikata then gets a text from Takagi regarding the special couple offer.
He blushes but appreciates Takagi for showing it since he wanted to get the offer. Nishikata calmly asks Takagi to watch it with him and gets a bit annoyed thinking it’s a tease.
