2. Recap of Takopi’s Original Sin Episode 3
As Shizuka and Takopi were leaving the crime scene, Azuma walked in, and was beyond just shocked to see a weird alien and Marina’s dead body. However, the boy was smart, and also happened to have a crush on Shizuka, so he grasped the situation quickly, and hid Marina in a happy gadget that could preserve anything store in it. The gadget was then buried in the earth. Takopi then transformed into Marina and decided to live as Marina.
On one hand, Takopi was really happy because he got Azuma as a new friend, and the three of them hung out in the park a lot now. On the other hand, though, things were really grim at Marina’s home, and her mother was even saying she wanted a divorce. Her father felt no remorse for being disloyal to his wife, and even berated her for being emotional. Takopi, being the airhead that he is, didn’t pick up on the tension between Marina’s parents.
Shizuka had one goal: to go to her father’s place in Tokyo to get Chappy back. Azuma was helping her figure out a plan to get to Tokyo, but he insisted that they shouldn’t leave right after Marina’s death. Using Takopi’s happy gadgets to travel isn’t viable, so they’d have to travel by train or ship; however, Shizuka would likely not be able to afford this.
All hell broke loose when Marina’s mother hit her limit. She realised that something was off about Marina, especially because Takopi had a weird habit of adding “-pi” to all of his sentences, which he simply didn’t rectify, even though it would easily blow his cover. Marina’s mother his Takopi a lot, and told him that she truly loved Marina, and wanted him to return her daughter. It was only at this point that Takopi realised the gravity of the crime he had committed, and at started crumbling under its weight.
3. Speculation of Episode 4 of Takopi’s Original Sin
Takopi has decided that he will talk things out with Shizuka, since he has realised how he had been unjustly treating Marina’s parents. Even if he didn’t reach this conclusion, the truth was bound to get out, because Marina’s dead body was uncovered in the restricted part of the forest, so it’s about time that Marina’s parents found out.
We know that Marina’s body likely has Azuma’s fingerprints, which really puts him and Shizuka at risk of getting caught. We can assume that the trio might prepone their Tokyo plan due to the current circumstances, which is likely the only way to escape this situation without having to go to juvenile prison.
