Bo-Katan Kryze actress Katee Sackhoff has opened up speculations about ‘The Mandalorian’ season 4.

The Mandalorian season 4 was still up in the air after Star Wars revealed The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. This spin-off continues the story of The Mandalorian season 3’s finale, wrapping up the current saga of Din Djarin and Grogu beautifully.

Many fans predicted that the film would replace season 4, but Sackhoff has now thrown that possibility out of the window.

Speaking on the ‘ Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum’ podcast, Sackhoff reveals that the next season of Mandalorian hasn’t started production yet.

It is the first time anyone from the team has referenced ‘The Mandalorian’ season 4 after the announcement of ‘The Mandalorian & The Grogu’ movie. Now, it seems like season 4 is surely a given, and it is only a matter of time before the production starts.

One thing to keep in mind is that this podcast chat might be pretty old by now. Sackhoff says they wrapped up The Mandalorian season 3 in April of the previous year, which fits if this talk happened in 2023 – meaning she is talking about April 2022. So maybe Sackhoff doesn’t know yet that The Mandalorian season 4 would become The Mandalorian & Grogu.

However, it is interesting to note that they didn’t change anything in the podcast. So, we can still have hope!

However, Sackhoff’s words are still a far cry from the official confirmation of The Mandalorian season 4. It could also be that Sackhoff is considering the film as The Mandalorian season 4, but that will be a poorly executed gimmick.

The film and its production have already been confirmed at the time of writing. Thus, we can safely take Sackhoff’s words at their face value.

Finally, it’ll be interesting to find out the path that The Mandalorian season 4 will take.

As season 3’s ending was neat, its sequel can take an entirely new direction and explore other unknown crevasses of the galaxy far, far away. Sackhoff will also be back as one of the key players of The Mandalorian season 4, whenever and however it happens.

Got the rare talent to binge an entire show in a single sitting just like that. Although a sucker for psychological thrillers, no bias for any genre when it comes to a good story. A living proof that Netflix and chill is not a myth!
