Fans of the Final Fantasy franchise are getting a plethora of new content with the recent release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The developers have not forsaken the older titles and updates continue to drop for said titles.
Square Enix revealed that The Rising Tide DLC will be released on April 18th for Final Fantasy 16. The official trailer reveals that Clive and his companions must travel to Mysidia where they will uncover “the tragic history of a forgotten people.”
Additionally, one of the most interesting clues that was shared by the developers includes that a letter arrives at the hideaway containing a rather peculiar request.
“The Dominant of Leviathan long lost Eikonof Water needs Rescue,” according to the synopsis. This has sparked a huge wave of excitement amongst the players.
Final Fantasy 16 was released only last year and continues to amaze players with its bigger-than-life battles and locations that are a sight to behold.
This is the second DLC for the title after the initial “Echoes of the Fallen” DLC that was released in December. In a PlayStation blog Post, the developers delved deeper than the visuals allow.
Additions include a level Cap of 60 for the Story and the Action-Focused Mode and 110 for the Final Fantasy Mode. Clive will also get a few Eikon Abilities that are water-based.
Kairos Gate brings extra challenges and a leaderboard to climb for the players. The DLC can be purchased separately as a part of the FF 16 Expansion Pass for USD 24.99.
While the official announcement says that the PC version is in the final stages of development right now, Final Fantasy 16 continues to perform well on the PS5 and engage players with an ever-growing set of content.
