Episode 42 Recap
This episode continues with Yoh facing Yohken with his upgraded Over Soul. Yoh knows Yohken is blinded by remorse from his action five hundred years ago and plans to save him. Matamune witnessing the fight knows Yoh will save Yohken and leaves to see other matters.
Yohken brings out Tengu Goblin and knows Yoh is done for. He then finds Yoh change his Over Soul using a two-part medium to take out the goblin. Yoh knows if he can’t fight through the trials of hell, he won’t be able to handle Hao.
After taking out the goblin, Yoh says he wants to talk with Yohken. Later, Yohken realizes he was trapped in hell for five hundred years and was blinded by his remorse of taking out Hao. Yohken discovers Hao is resurrected again and tells him there are two ways to stop him.
Out of nowhere, a super demon smashes Yohken’s soul. Yoh gets angry and tries to find out if he can revive him but gets told once a soul is destroyed, it can’t be brought back. He then prepares to face other super demons that have appeared.
Meanwhile, Sati explains the process of how the five warriors need to face death to increase their Furyku to handle the five great spirits. Stating that is Gandara’s mission, Sati calls out a patch member, Namari, for eavesdropping on them.
Namari says he won’t do anything drastic. He then warns Sati that publicly announcing to steal the five great spirits of the patch tribe would be troublesome. As Namari leaves, Team Moon appears and provokes Ryu about their plans with the great spirits.
Sati stops Ryu from taking action, but she gets stabbed by Hang. Later, while Team Ren tries to figure out the five warriors, Team Vidyaraja enters and takes them out. The scenes show Lyserg, Ren, Horohoro, and Joco in hell to improve their Furyoku.
Afterward, Anahol is with the survivors of his attack. Tamao gets in trouble for trying to stop Anahol from destroying Lyserg and Ms. Maiden’s bodies. Marco attacks Anahol’s Over Soul and states Ms. Maiden saved him.
He tries to make Anahol lead him to Gandhara to revive Ms. Maiden and Lyserg. Unfortunately, Hao appears, revealing that Sati is dead and that no one can be revived. Marco hopes to resurrect Ms. Maiden and Lyserg and send them away to be saved.
