Loki and Sylvie have turned out to be each other’s ally and love interest, but their fight in the finale has viewers wondering what season 2 would hold. Thanks to Tom Hiddleston’s reveal, a major story angle of the sequel is now up for the fans to grab.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, via LRM Online, Hiddleston was sure to not give any spoilers, but did share that Loki’s main goal would be to search for Sylvie, as he (Loki) thinks all of it was his mistake.

I don’t think he will stop searching [for Sylvie] now. He feels that this is something he has done, a mistake that he has made, and he’s invested in setting it right.

The fact that the greatest trickster and God of Mischief feels guilty and wants to amend his mistakes, shows Loki’s character development arc.

Especially when he has been the villain who never felt remorse, the separation from his love interest Sylvie and the unleashing of the multiverse because of Sylvie killing He Who Remains (Kang), Loki finds himself in a confused, guilt-ridden spot.

Loki has already been reported to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

As each Marvel movie is connected to every characters’ storylines, it will be interesting to see where Loki ends up in the movie. However, it is also definite that he will be out to make things right for himself and Sylvie in season 2.
