Microsoft and Sony are always going head-to-head to have the upper hand when it comes to their bitter console rivalry. Currently, it seems like Microsoft is on the move to assert superiority as they have reportedly secured an exclusive deal for Xbox Series X/S.
Miles Dompier of Windows Central has claimed that Microsoft and FormSoftware would join hands to work on an exclusive Sci-Fi RPG. This upcoming game will be released on Xbox series X, rumors suggest. If true, this will be a huge coup for Microsoft to serenade players into buying Xbox Series X/S and assert dominance over Sony’s PS5.
Having an association with FormSoftware should do wonders for Microsoft. The Japanese game developers are one of the finest in the business when it comes to fusing quality and steadiness. They are best known for developing masterpieces like Dark Souls, Sekiro, and Bloodborne, etc.
FormSoftware also released a first-person RPG Eternal Ring and a third-person RPG Evergrace when the PS2 first launched back in 2000.
The CV of FormSoftware speaks for itself, and securing them for creating an Xbox Series X/S exclusive is a huge coup for Microsoft.
Currently, we don’t know if the tittle-tattle is true as neither Microsoft nor FormSoftware have commented yet. Furthermore, it’s unlikely that they will as neither have a track record of ignoring speculations.
