Episode eight of the anime Rumble Garanndoll starts with General Tanaka sacrificing himself by getting on a rollercoaster to land on Banki’s face and stop Yakumo.
Of course, it doesn’t work, and Yamada has to stall her by talking of inane things. Meanwhile, Misa has left the room to rescue Hosomichi.
They look for transfer cables because Misa must have her treasures. As they bear an explosion, Hosomichi figures it’s time to go and fight the fight. Will they defeat Yakumo?
Episode 9 Speculations
The ending shows Misa coming to terms with the fact that she will have to share the recharge room with the other battery girls. It’s so sweet that Hosomichi didn’t force her on it. They seem to have developed a good guardian/ward relationship.
Also, why does Hosomichi not talk about his father? Why was he so upset when Misa forwarded his father’s name to everyone while she was blackmailing. Is Hosomichi’s absentee father a part of the Illusory country’s resistance?

Episode 8 Recap
The Shark One has failed to attack Yakumo’s Garann “Banki.” The damage has left Rin seriously burnt out while Yuki’s energy is in the negatives from reading mean comments.
Misa decides to leave the room even though she’s a hikikomori to rescue Hosomichi. The creepy dungeon recluses lead her to where he is, and Hosomichi gives her a head pat in return.
They look for her treasures even though they are in the middle of an attack. What could they be? It’s transfer cables she’s after, so they could play the same game together.
Yakumo is disgusted with the underground people who’ve let their minds go soft by being detached from reality. Yamada explains to her how games, anime, and things give people hope in an effort to stall the attack.
This clearly isn’t working long-term, and Yakumo starts to attack. Hosomichi and Misa run their rescue, leaving the treasures behind. Misa’s Garann takes the form of a cat, but the lightweight doesn’t inflict any damage on Yakumo’s Banki.
With a power-up, a Kotatsu comes down from the sky and attaches to the cat Garann and floors Banki with its firepower. Yakumo runs away with an impressed expression on her face.

Rumble Garanndoll is an upcoming original Japanese anime television series animated by Studio Lerche.
The story begins in 2019, just before the change in historical eras for Japan. A rift to another dimension suddenly opens in the skies above, revealing a “turnabout” alternate world called “Shinkoku Nippon.” This parallel version of Japan maintained its militarism and remains stuck in the Showa era. Shinkoku Nippon invades Japan with its “Genmu” gas weapons and giant humanoid “Garan” weapons. The invaders immediately take over our government and all but conquer Japan.
