Episode six of Rumble Garanndoll will be released as per schedule. No delay has been announced.

Episode 5 Recap

Captain Yamada and the rest of the entourage look over Yuki’s stuffed toy-looking Garanndoll. Yuki only pretended to be ready, but in reality, she never opened up to anyone.

In her spare time, Yuki is seen as a convenience store clerk, where Hosomichi comes to find her. Musashi coincidentally comes to the same store.

She asks why the shop is open after curfew, Yuki immediately closes up. Musashi had come looking for contraband magazines, and she found some. She starts bad-mouthing idol culture, and Yuki responds with how important idols are.

Hosomichi saves Yuki from arrest. He does everything in his power to rekindle her passion for being an idol. Hell, he even organizes a concert at Akihabara so that she can sing.

The True army finds their location and attack. Musashi, in her Garann “Ryuki,” shoots at “Shark One.” Yuki’s fans arrive to save Hosomichi from arrest because they believe in Rin.

Rin asks why they would support her so recklessly when they’ve only seen her act. They tell her how they know the real Yuki too because they’re stalker fans and still love her. This turned very dark very quickly, but oh well.

Now that Yuki is convinced to sing again, Rin’s battery capsule is unceremoniously chucked out of the Garann. Talk about treating employees well.

Hosomichi gets in, and Yuki’s battery capsule is attached. His cheering for Yuki makes her battery go up. The stuffed toy-looking rabbit Garanndoll transforms into a more feisty-looking model.

Musashi is creeped out by the cutesy Garann. Yuki’s Garann beats Musashi into a humiliating defeat, and Akatsuki orders her to retreat. In the end, a miffed Rin is seen floating in the ocean with her capsule.

About Rumble Garanndoll

Rumble Garanndoll is an upcoming original Japanese anime television series animated by Studio Lerche.

The story begins in 2019, just before the change in historical eras for Japan. A rift to another dimension suddenly opens in the skies above, revealing a “turnabout” alternate world called “Shinkoku Nippon.” This parallel version of Japan maintained its militarism and remains stuck in the Showa era. Shinkoku Nippon invades Japan with its “Genmu” gas weapons and giant humanoid “Garan” weapons. The invaders immediately take over our government and all but conquer Japan.

A decade later, our Japan has been revamped as Genkoku Nippon, a puppet state of Shinkoku Nippon. Under harsh censorship, the once-thriving manga, anime, idol, and similar sub-cultures have completely died off … or so it seemed. A secret society named Arahabaki rises up to resist Shinkoku with Garanndoll weapons powered by “battery girls.”
