Roblox announces collab to bring Chucky and Griefville for a haunting experience

Roblox, like many of its contemporary titles, has had a plethora of experience with collaborations like One Piece, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, Attack on Titan, pop artists like Bebe Rexha, Swedish House Mafia, and brands like Ralph Lauren, H&M, Nike and Gucci.

Roblox developers RocketRide Games have announced the Griefville experience, starring Chucky, the menacing child from the horror franchise Child’s Play. Players can take control of Chucky and hunt down the victims in a Dead by Daylight fashion.

During the day, Roblox players have to prepare for the horrors that await them at night during the day, and at nightfall, they can choose their survival mode.

It is as a part of this survival mode that Chucky can be chosen, giving the players a feel of Dead By Daylight in Roblox. Players must hunt the victims with regular attacks and a few powerful abilities.

However, if they want to be on the other side of the knife of the serial killer, then they have to survive Chucky. The gameplay is very reminiscent of the “thrills of horror films from the 80s and 90s,” according to the developers.

The design of the town of Greenville instills fear in the mind. With an intricate design, the desolate down with a cemetery sets the stage for Chucky’s exploits.

Players can prepare and strategize along with fortification to fend themselves off from the darkness that brings Chucky along with it. The joint effort of RocketRide Ride Games, Universal Products and Experience, and Roblox shows the brand’s vision.

The developers have also teased the possible inclusion of some other horror icons in future updates, promising to extend the game’s universe into a more cohesive set of killers who promise to make the players sweat or, better still – bleed.
