Episode 8 Recap
One day after Ruka and Mami had a terrible encounter, Kazuya had a long video talk with his girlfriend. Mami also happens to be Kazuya’s classmate, so she apologizes for her rude behavior after talking about random things.
Despite her concerns about Mami, her boyfriend assures her that she poses no threat to their relationship.
Kazuya decides he would be selfish this time, so he booked Chizuru for the entire day. The date would be more enjoyable if she wore a school uniform, so he asked her to wear one. Her beautiful looks mesmerize him when they meet. Walking around the city like any average couple, he asks her to hold his hand.
As Kazuya sees a food stall, he realizes he’d been planning on sharing food with her. Despite this, he does not want to share his plans with her. When Chizuru is asked if she is hungry, she responds yes.
His only purchase from the stall is an order, but he does not buy anything for himself. Kazuya accepts Chizuru’s invitation to have a bite after she receives her order. In the end, Kazuya could see that his plan was working, and the two shared food, which he had always wanted to do.
Chizuru notices Sumi shopping at a store in a mall while they are strolling casually. As soon as she sees her, she and Kazuya hide. As Chizuru wears the school dress, she does not want her friend to see her.
A familiar voice catches Sumi’s attention just as they are about to run away. She couldn’t speak when she saw the duo running away from her.
Once Kazuya and Chizuru have shared food and avoided running into Sumi, they realize it’s time to move on to their other plans. Kazuya’s list of things he plans to accomplish has now been noted by Mizuhara, who has assured him that it is not shameful. As a result, they later go into a photo booth to take some couple photographs.
Nevertheless, Kazuya feels embarrassed and indecisive when presented with a few options on the screen. Chizuru picks a romantic pose after she notices his hesitation.
Kazuya’s excitement can barely be controlled while they take pictures. By their photo session ends, they are too embarrassed to look each other in the eye for the first time. Afterward, they ride a Ferris wheel to see the city from above.
Kazuya and Chizuru are in an uncomfortable position after one of them slips when Chizuru tries to show him something from the glass window. A few moments later, the former apologizes for slapping the latter as a reflex.
Throughout the episode, Chizuru talks about how she loves her current job and feels happy to have helped people with social anxiety become more confident and self-assured. Kazuya buys a photo of them before they board the Ferris wheel for 1,000 yen after they get off.
Taking a walk back home like any average couple, Kazuya and Chizuru greet each other. Kazuya suddenly recalls that another producer saw her performance at the theater. His schooling has now been extended to her after he later contacted her.
Just like last time, Kazuya promises to be there for her as soon as she returns to the stage. She wanted to share the news with him because she was thankful for the support he gave her. In addition, she says that acting opportunities will force her to quit her current job shortly, so he won’t be able to hire her.
The fact that Mizuhara is closer to her dreams and all her hard work is finally paying off may mean that Kazuya can’t spend time with her anymore, but he is highly pleased to hear that she is on the right track.
