I. Operation Oddtaxi Succeeds
Episode 12 takes us right into Operation Oddtaxi, where everything goes according to Odokawa’s plan. Just as he predicted, Yano doesn’t verify all the duralumin cases and escapes with the fake bills.
After retrieving the 900 million from the back workers, Dobu goes after the remaining 100 million with Yano. He boards into Odokawa’s taxi and asks him to follow Yano’s car.
As we saw in the previous episode, Elder Diamon is working under Dobu. He stops Yano’s car in a deserted bridge and examines the car, thereby exposing that all the bills are fake.
While Yano and Sekiiguchi were mourning for getting tricked, Dobu sneaks out with the remaining 100 million. Thus, you can say that the operation turns out exactly the way Dobu wanted.
II. Tanaka’s Intervention
However, the scenario completely changes with Tanaka’s intrusion into this plan. He initially wanted to punish Odokawa for breaking his phone but ends up shooting Dobu for frauding him with a unique eraser about 16 years with.
While Dobu is bleeding to his death, Odokawa betrays him instead of taking him to an unlicensed doctor. Not only that, he leaves all the money for Imai after giving him adequate instructions on how to get it.
Just when Odokawa thought that his plan succeeded, Yano and Sekiguchi come rushing towards him to retrieve their lost money.
Odokawa somehow manages to escape and realizes that he can’t just turn himself in yet since he has a case of 100 million with him.

Odd Taxi is an original Japanese anime series produced by OLM, Inc. and P.I.C.S.. The series aired in Japan on April 6, 2021.
Odokawa is a taxi driver who lives an ordinary life and as a slightly eccentric stranger who has no relatives nor any relations with other people, Odokawa’s hobby is listening to Rakugo on the radio before going to bed.
