Muichiro vs Kokushibo in Demon Slayer Infinity Castle: Who Is Stronger?

The Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie is already breaking several records and one of the biggest reason behind its popularity is the fight between Muichiro Tokito and Kokushibo. This was one of the most talked-about (and tragic) battles in the entire series, and the movie is finally going to show who is stronger.

The movie premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, and will release in the United States and selected Asian regions on September 12, 2025.

Who Is Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer?

Muichiro Tokito is the Mist Hashira and one of the most naturally talented swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. He became a Hashira only two months after he started training, a record that no one else has ever matched.

Muichiro also awakened the Demon Slayer Mark that increases strength, speed, and awareness. He also defeated Upper Moon Five, Gyokko by himself, which proved how strong he actually is, despite being so young.

Who Is Kokushibo in Demon Slayer?

Kokushibo is the Upper Rank One demon and one of the oldest and strongest demons under Muzan. Before becoming a demon, Kokushibo was a human swordsman during the Sengoku era and the brother of Yoriichi, who was the strongest swordsman in history.

Kokushibo uses Moon Breathing and can enter the Transparent World, which lets him predict his opponent’s moves. He also uses Blood Demon Art and has incredible speed and fighting skills honed over hundreds of years.

Is Muichiro Related to Kokushibo?

Yes, during their battle in the Infinity Castle, Kokushibo reveals that Muichiro is his descendant. It explains Muichiro’s natural talent and fast growth as a Demon Slayer. Being from the same bloodline as both Kokushibo and Yoriichi shows that Muichiro’s abilities may be part of a powerful family legacy.

Can Muichiro Defeat Kokushibo?

This is one big mystery that fans are waiting to be revealed. While Muichiro is extremely talented, Kokushibo has far more experience and a deadly combination both demon powers and swordsmanship.

What to Expect From the Infinity Castle Movie

The Infinity Castle arc is one of the most intense and emotional arcs in the Demon Slayer story. Along with Muichiro’s fight, the movie will also show some really big boy battles like Tanjiro vs Akaza and Shinobu vs Doma. This movie will also set up the final confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King.

The battle between Muichiro Tokito and Kokushibo is between two generations, involved by blood and shaped by destiny. It’s worth being excited for.

About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 and ended in May 2020 with 23 collected tankōbon volumes.
