Warner Bros. confirms early access date for Mortal Kombat 1’s Peacemaker DLC

 Summary

  • Warner Bros. Gaming, the publishers of Mortal Kombat 1,have confirmed the date for the early access of the Peacemaker DLC.
  • The Peacemaker DLC was initially slated for a February 13th early access release.
  • However it has now been pushed back to February 28th due to the extension of the current season of Mortal Kombat 1.

The crossovers Mortal Kombat has pulled in recent years are paralleled, if not rivaled, only by Call of Duty. Publishers Warner Bros Games have provided an update about the upcoming anticipated DLC.

On Twitter, Warner Bros. Games have announced that the Peacemaker DLC will be available for early access starting February 28th. The new Season has also been teased to arrive soon around the same window.

Peacemaker is an antihero from the DC comics that Warner Bros. owns the rights to. It only makes sense for some characters to appear in Mortal Kombat 1.

The Peacemaker DLC was initially scheduled to release on February 13th on early release. The DLC was supposed to be released on February 20th for the general public.

However, with the extension of the current season of Mortal Kombat 1, the DLC got pushed back, as we learned earlier this week. Now, players have their fears confirmed with a delayed release of the Peacemaker DLC.

Interestingly, unlike all previous announcements, the announcement for the Peacemaker DLC mentioned only the early access date. However, if precedents are considered, players must wait for a week, and the DLC will be available to all on March 6.

Fans have been speculating about the deadly finishers called Fatalaties that the ironically named not-so-peaceful Peacemaker might bring to Mortal Kombat.

Some fans have also voiced their need to include Harley Quinn in Mortal Kombat 1, who can sometimes be brutal. Until the dreams are realized, players can enjoy Peacemaker soon in a little over a fortnight.

About Mortal Kombat 1

Developer NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed Mortal Kombat 1, the next chapter in its long-running fighting game series, which was released on September 19th. It takes on that name, rather than the expected Mortal Kombat 12 name, because–as previous teasers hinted at–Mortal Kombat 1 is a sort-of-reboot of the series and takes place in the New Era timeline established by Liu Kang after he ascended to godhood in 2019’s Mortal Kombat 11.
