Here is the summary of the 2.5 Patch Notes in Marvel Rivals-
- Ultron’s Debut
- New Team-Ups in Season 2.5
- Removed Team-Ups and Changes
- Hero Balance Updates
- New Experimental Mode (Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol)
1. Ultron’s Debut

Ultron will be released on May 30, 2025. He is a free-flying Strategist who can heal and deal damage to help his team, while also keeping up offensive pressure. Ultron is great at controlling the battlefield; he uses his drones to assist allies and disrupt enemies.
His arrival changes the game in Marvel Rivals by introducing the first fully airborne Strategist. His mix of support and damage roles makes him a flexible choice for players who like tactical positioning and high-tech firepower.
2. New Team-Ups in Season 2.5
Several heroes are getting new team-up abilities in Season 2.5, as the Lead Combat Designer, Zhiyong Feng, said:
“In Season 2.0, we debuted adjustments for Team-Up abilities, injecting fresh energy into our game environment. With Season 2.5, we’re going even further, with not only Team-Up ability changes, but also the arrival of our new hero Ultron and key numerical balance updates, all set to deliver a whole new level of combat excitement.”

The following heroes are getting new team-up abilities in version 2.5:
- Symbiote Serum: Venom now shares his powers with Jeff the Land Shark. Jeff can use symbiote tendrils to connect with allies and heal them.
- Operation Microchip: Black Widow can shoot a strong beam that hits multiple enemies while aiming down sights when working with The Punisher.
- Chilling Assault: Luna Snow creates special ice arrows for Hawkeye. These arrows can go through walls and terrain. The farther Hawkeye shoots them, the more damage they cause.
- Rocket Network/Tech Pals: Peni Parker uses Rocket Raccoon’s technology to set up a smaller Bionic Spider-Nest that also provides armor packs. Rocket’s beacon changes into a stronger beacon that spawns cyber webs, Spider-Drones, and Arachno-Mines.
- Stark Protocol: Ultron can use Iron Man‘s armor to fire lasers that damage enemies and heal teammates at the same time.
- Jeff–Nado: When Storm and Jeff the Land Shark are ready to use their ultimate abilities, they create the “Jeff Tornado.” Storm controls a spinning Jeff that damages enemies over time and eventually consumes them.
