Lupin III Part 6 is not on a break and will continue as per schedule.

Episode 4 Recap

The episode begins with two suspicious-looking men sitting down at a run-down diner. They order ham-eggs and bacon-eggs while flirting with a witty waitress. As they continue to chat and eat, the tension at the diner increases.

More customers enter who have fishy intentions. All of them reveal their weapons just as the entrance door opens again, but to their dismay, it’s only a delivery man. One of the customers quietly takes the package.

The waitress asks the two men who they are, and they reply with a question, asking her to be more specific. They ask her whether she wants to know if they are like the rest of the customers present in the diner. She says yes, and they again ask her what she thought about them all.

The waitress tells them that they look like assassins straight from a comic book. One of the men again asked her what she thought about them specifically. She answers with a question, asking why a bunch of assassins have to be gathered around that part of the town.

The man replied that they flocked there to taste the big dinner the restaurant served and laughed hysterically. After a little more banter, the two men reveal that they are there to kill Andre Anderson and recover some treasure he possessed.

After revealing their motive, the assassins start chatting about their shared mission. They propose distributing the money after killing him, but no one is on board with the idea. Soon, they start discussing their choice of weapon and the killing techniques they will use.

Just as the clock strikes six, all men start firing towards the entrance without having the target in their view. After all the bloodshed, the two assassins we met earlier are actually Lupin and Jigen in disguise.

The two search the diner and find that the actual staff was tied up with their mouths sealed shut. The waitress from earlier is Fujiko in disguise. She visits Anderson to inform him that there are eight assassins after him.

They talk for a bit, and Fujiko reveals that she was also waiting at the diner to kill him. She apparently shoots him and gets a hold of his treasure which is an original copy of Hemingway’s anthology containing “The Killers.” The Killers is a codebook used by the CIA after they obtained all the printed copies of the book. Fujiko meets up with Lupin and Jigen, and the three conspirators decide to sell the book back to the CIA.
