Call of Duty developers introduce limited-time Battle Royale preview mode

Summary

  • Call of Duty developers Activision and Sledgehammer Games have released a new limited-time game mode.
  • The limited-time game mode called the Battle Royale Preview mode allowing players to glimpse what is coming in the future.
  • The current mode allows players to purchase Covert Exfil Cases and earn rewards if they exfil with a certain Weapons Case.

Fan feedback has played a significant role in this iteration of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, with fans expressing displeasure over many things, with the gameplay and storyline being a general theme.

After an initial delay, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 includes a limited time called the Battle Royale Preview. As a part of this mode, players can get a view into the future by looking at features that will be integrated into Warzone and Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer at some point in the future.

One thing the players must keep in mind is that this mode is available only in the Quads format. In this mode, fans can purchase a Covert Exfil at a buy station for USD 30000 in-game currency.

This would allow them to exit the match early with a Weapon’s Case. One caveat must be remembered is that only five Covert Exfils can be purchased per match, and none after the Gulag Closes.

A Weapon Case will also spawn randomly on the map, and the location will be visible to all players on their minimap. The player will be marked to all other players upon picking up the case.

But, successfully exfilling with a Weapons Case gives the entire Squad some exclusive rewards. There are six rewards. For the first victory and non-covert exfil with weapons case, players get a Mortem Operator Skin. For the First Covert Exfil, players acquire an After Party Decal.

The second covert exfil rewards a “Person of Interest” decal, the third rewards a “The Pursued” decal, the fourth delivers a more exciting “Behind the Mask” sticker, and the Fifth Covert Exfil rewards a “Harrow MTZ-762 blueprint.”

Fortune’s Keep has also been confirmed to return on February 7th, following quite some teasing by the developers. Now, the multiplayer department of Call of Duty seems to be making some amends, and players will hopefully take a liking to it soon.
