In the class, she greets Tadano and asks if something is wrong with her. She tells him that everyone has been staring at her. Tadano is taken back because of how good Komi looks, that he is too flustered to answer her correctly.

We then cut to the fitness test, where we again meet Komi’s self-declared rival, Yadano. She admits that the physical examination ended in a tie and is fully prepared to beat Komi in today’s fitness test.

Much to her dismay, Komi beats Yadano in all the activities. It was now time for the last test, which measured their speed while sprinting. Komi easily wins in the race, too, mesmerizing Yadano by her running.

Yadano confronts Komi and tells her that she admits defeat, stretching out her hand for Komi to shake. Komi takes a little too long to reciprocate the gesture, making Yadano think that she accepted her as a rival and runs off after challenging her to another face-off next year.

Later that day, Najimi asks Komi if she and Tadano can visit her house. Komi is nervous but agrees eventually. Komi’s mother happily welcomes the two at her house, excited to see Komi bring her friends to her home. She looks incredibly young, and Tadano and Najimi almost mistake her for Komi’s sister.

The three spend their time eating and looking at Komi’s old pictures. As her friends leave, Komi is happy that they came over. Najimi sends a selfie she took of the three, and Komi decides to frame it.

The next day, Komi tells Tadano and Najimi that her dream is to go to a ramen shop. Himiko sees this as her opportunity to take her friends out. She takes them to a famous shop where they are offered a little too much to eat.

Komi is delighted, telling the others that they should visit again, but Tadano and Najimi refuse, complaining about how they overate. Their visit to the ramen shop becomes a weekly occurrence.

As their days continue, we’re introduced to Omoharu Nakanaka, a classmate of Komi’s with the eighth-grade syndrome. She tries to befriend Komi, addressing her as “princess Komilia.” She asks Komi to forge a blood contract with her but ends up confusing Komi instead.

When Komi asks too many questions, she rushes out, embarrassed. Najimi explains that Nakanaka is a chuunibyou, but Komi doesn’t know what that means. Najimi then describes it to her as a teenager being delusional. Chuunibyou thinks that they are unique and act as if they’re blessed with superpowers.

We find out that Tadano used to be a chuunibyou and was rejected by a girl, which is why he is normal now. Najimi tells Komi that it was Nakanaka’s way of asking to be friends. Later during gym class, Komi sees the chuunibyou alone and asks her to partner up. The two become friends shortly.

The episode ends with a sweet moment where Komi and Tadano share an umbrella.
