Jin Goo Has Just 24 Hours to Save His Daughter in ‘A Superior Day’ Trailer

Descendants of the Sun actor Jin Goo will be returning to the small screen with the action-thriller series, A Superior Day.

OCN released a trailer for the show, based on a webtoon of the same name by Team Getname, a famous manga artist. Jin Goo plays Lee Ho-chul, a firefighter who has to save his kidnapped daughter Su-ah (Jo Yooh-ha) from a serial killer he had crossed paths with.

The catch? Ho-chul doesn’t have forever – he only has 24 hours. The firefighter has traumatic memories from the scenes of a murder case, but he has to keep them aside and join professional hitman Bae Tae-jin, played by Ha Do-kwon, to help catch the serial killer.

Lee Won-keun, seen in One the Woman and teen drama Cheer Up! will essay the role of the serial killer Kwon Si-woo.

The trailer opens with Ho-chul’s time in the hospital and wondering if he can go back to work after the traumatic events he witnessed on duty. It also introduces his wife, Choi Jung-hye, played by Im Hwa-young, who asks if he must return to work.

It is apparent that the serial killer knows Ho-chul and his family as the firefighter starts seeing random men around his daughter. Eventually, she gets kidnapped and he receives a mysterious call. The man on the other side says, “From now on, we’ll protect your daughter.”

Tensions rise throughout the trailer with the swift cuts it includes. The production team of A Superior Day stated that they plan on making the show a fast-paced thriller that no one will be able to peel their eyes away from.

The OCN drama is receiving attention slowly as it will see Jin Goo in action after nearly two years. His last project was the JTBC drama Legal High.

A Superior Day will premiere on March 13 at 10:30 PM KST. It will be available to stream on Viki.
