Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora contain romance? All You Need to Know

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora features a variety of characters and mechanics, making it an enriching experience for fans of the franchise. But many players have been wondering if romancing characters is a thing in the game.

It’s not uncommon for RPGs to have the option to romance certain characters. Recently, Baldur’s Gate 3 gave players the ability to romance a variety of NPCs in the game, even to the extent of romancing a bear. But does Ubisoft follow suit with Avatar?

1. Is there romance in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

There is no romance in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. All of the characters that players meet throughout their playthrough either have preexisting relationships with other characters or are simply friends.

Unfortunately, like Jake Sully, you cannot be in a romantic relationship with a 6-foot-tall blue alien, even if that’s the only thing you were excited about in this game. You’ll make friends and gain allies, but a romantic partner is something you won’t find here.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t live out your Na’Vi fantasy in the game. You can be as badass as Jake Sully in every other aspect, whether it’s combat or traversal. You’ll also be able to increase Clan Favor throughout your playthrough to form strong bonds with NPCs.

This isn’t surprising considering that Massive Entertainment’s previous titles, like Tom Clancy’s The Division and World in Conflict, did not have romance in them. Regardless of that, it would’ve been a nice little feature if it were added.

Despite the lack of romance in the game, you’ll have a great cast of characters to guide you throughout your journey across the Western Frontier, and who knows? Romance options may be added in a sequel if one’s actually on the cards.
