How to unlock the Pool of Shattered Jade in Black Myth: Wukong?

The Pool of Shattered Jade is a secret location in Black Myth: Wukong, complete with a hidden area and a challenging boss. You can discover this region in Chapter 4. However, if you missed out on some clues, finding it will be like a total shot in the dark. Don’t worry, here’s what you need to do.

How to reach the Pool of Shattered Jade?

Begin in Upper Hollow. Find where the shrine in this area is. From the shrine, you need to travel a bit more, defeating enemies, passing Meditation Spots, and much more. You have to find a large rock, behind which is what you seek.

Firstly, fast travel to Upper Hollow. Once there, look for the Upper Hollow Shrine. It’s a prominent spot so it shouldn’t be easy to miss.

Just near the Shrine, there should be a ladder leading up to a pillar.

Climb up the ladder. Then turn left and proceed on the path.

You will soon come across a gap. Jump to go down.

Continue further ahead, passing through a cocoon-filled area. (There might be a few enemies waiting to ambush you here.)

Venom Daoist is an optional Yaoguai boss in Black Myth: Wukong. You will encounter him twice– at the Pool of Shattered Jade and then in the Temple of Yellow Flowers.

While passing through the cocoon-filled cave, there will be a single, isolated big cocoon.

Destroy it to spawn the Venom Daoist.

Here’s how you can beat him:

The Venom Daoist is a master at quick attacks. If you are not attentive, the boss will dash at you and take you by surprise. However, these attacks are given away by audio/visual cues. If you know the right timing, you can easily dodge his dash attacks.

The boss has another attack where he will lunge into the air and slam his weapon into the ground. It will send out a shockwave. After the attack, he will spend a few seconds freeing his weapon. This is your window to strike. Use any spell like Immobilize or do a Heavy Attack.

The Venom Daoist is an agile opponent. You will have to be on the move constantly. The boss can attack you from anywhere.

Destroy all of his arms on the back. By doing so, you will receive the Venomous Armguard along with a Gold Tree Core after the fight.
