Azani Blackheart Quest Walkthrough- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Azani Blackheart is the tenth major quest in the Fighters Guild questline that players can undertake after completing More Unfinished Business in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. 

This quest is the fifth one assigned by Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol. He seeks assistance in uncovering more about the Blackwood Company and their dubious activities, asking the Hero to join him in investigating the disappearance of his men during a previous mission.

1. How to complete the Azani Blackheart quest in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered?

Players can complete the Azani Blackheart quest in Oblivion Remastered by completing the following objectives- 

  • Meet Oreyn 
  • Head to Arpenia 
  • Defeat Azani in Atatar

1.1 Meet Oreyn

Talk to Modryn Oreyn at the Fighters Guild in Chorrol. He will ask you to meet him at his house after dark. You can either find his home in the west end of Chorrol or follow him there and wait until night. His door will unlock when it’s safe to enter, and you can talk to him about your next task.

He will ask you to help him investigate the Blackwood Company. He thinks they are plotting against the Fighters Guild and that something is off with them, as they take any contract and will do anything to complete it. 

1.2 Head to Arpenia

Travel to Leyawiin and enter the local Fighters Guild. You will find Modryn upstairs, where he will tell you the next part of your assignment. Lead him outside and north of Leyawiin to find Arpenia Cave.

The cave is mostly empty except for some rats and random chests. When you reach the center of Arpenia, Modryn will speak, saying that Azani Blackheart must be in another location.

Note: If you get too far ahead of Modryn or fall too far behind, he will stop and wait for you to catch up. 

1.3 Defeat Azani in Atatar

Follow Oreyn to Atatar, just north of Arpenia, and enter the ruin. This ruin is more dangerous, and you will have to fight several enemies. Atatar has four levels, with Azani waiting for you at the bottom. Move through the first three levels, dealing with Bandits and avoiding traps.

When you reach the fourth level, Atatar Loria, defeat Azani. Be ready, as he is a strong boss and will have Skeletons to help him. After defeating Azani, take Blackheart’s Ring from his body and give it to Oreyn to finish the quest.

2. Azani Blackheart Quest Rewards

Completing the quest with Azani Blackheart will grant you the following rewards-

  • Promotion to Warder, unlocking new quests within the Fighters Guild.

  • After defeating Azani, you can claim the Sinweaver from his corpse. This enchanted Claymore inflicts Drain Fatigue and Fire Damage on your enemies. 
  • Additionally, don’t forget to loot the foes you encountered in the Atartar; they were equipped with impressive weapons and donned some remarkable armor.
