Hogwarts Legacy is coming to the Switch soon, Nintendo drops trailer

Fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter have enjoyed the title for quite a while now. However, it was now available only on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Nintendo of America has released the in-game trailer titled “Magic Awaits” for Hogwarts Legacy, which launches on the Nintendo Switch on November 14th, 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy – Magic Awaits Trailer - Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch version was long overdue, with the native versions for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC releasing earlier this year on February 10th. The Switch version was initially announced for Switch way back in March 2022.

However, the Switch version was delayed by over a year. Initially, the Switch version was scheduled to be launched in July 2023. But now we have the final release date of November 2023.

The trailer shares a few glimpses of the Wizarding World. It shows how the players can journey as a witch or a wizard. Right from getting a wand at Ollivanders to taking part in the first magic lessons, the trailer has it all.

While the gameplay trailer looks far from impressive with rough edges, players are happy that the developers are honest in their approach.

The underwhelming visuals are not unexpected. The Nintendo Switch is far less potent than its PlayStation and Xbox counterparts. Hogwarts Legacy is a graphically demanding game known to make decently powerful GPUs like the GTX 1650 sweat a little.

Hence, Switch owners should consider that the title is coming to the Switch magic. While it will not be a revolutionary experience, the ability to carry the entirety of the wizarding world in your pocket will be quite an experience.

The release date of November 14th is not that far away, and players can expect more gameplay trailers to be released soon for Hogwarts Legacy. Until the Switch version is out, gamers can enjoy it on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

About Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG from Avalanche Studio. The game places the player in the wizarding school of Hogwarts, allowing them to witness the iconic locations as a character other than Harry Potter.

The game has an expansive map that makes the game very immersive, even for people who are yet to read the books or watched the movie.

The mysterious, gripping storyline, with the vast areas to explored, either on foot or broomstick, makes it even more real life.
