Higehiro Episode 13: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Higehiro episode 12, titled “Mother,” has been released this week.

Last, we saw Sayu and Yoshida arrive in Hokkaido to meet Sayu’s mom. While Ogiwara was busy with business, Sayu and Yoshida went around the city and passed their time.

Yoshida then took Sayu to her school to clear any unresolved past feelings. 

In episode 12, Sayu’s mom slapped her the moment she entered the house. After that, they all talked, and Sayu’s mom wished that she had never given birth to Sayu.

Yoshida then spoke his mind to her mother, somewhat changing her stance regarding taking care of Sayu.

1. Episode 13 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Episode 13, “Future,” is revealed at the end of episode 12. 

We have seen that Yoshida has somehow convinced Sayu’s mom to take care of her instead of abandoning her. So, I think it is safe to say that Sayu will finally get a chance to experience a relatively normal life.

Even though it would be tough for us to see our dynamic duo part ways, it was bound to happen. However, I’m sure we will see Sayu try to keep Yoshida in her life as he has had such a significant impact on her.

There is also the possibility of Sayu developing feelings for Yoshida by the time she graduates. After which, she may try to stay with him again. However, we can’t say for sure if Yoshida will reciprocate those feelings.

Episode 13 of the Higehiro anime, titled “Future”, has been released on Monday, Jun 28, 2021.

I. Is Higehiro on Break This Week?

No, the anime Higehiro is not on break this week. Episode 13 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 12

Episode 12, titled “Mother,” starts off with Sayu’s mom slapping her as soon as she entered the house for being an inconvenience all this time. 

Sayu’s mom, Mrs. Ogiwara scrutinizes Sayu for being a nuisance in their lives. Then Ogiwara finally quiets everybody down, as Yoshida is a guest at their place. 

They take seats at the dining table, and Mrs. Ogiwara states that Sayu just made a bigger mess by returning and is also confused as to what benefit it was for her to remain with a person like Yoshida. 

Sayu snaps back, revealing to her that she hates her and was genuinely happy about Yoshida dealing with her and getting her off the roads and directing her like a mentor.

Mrs. Ogiwara keeps on saying that Sayu is the leading cause of all the problems in the family, and she tarnished their family name after the suicide incident. She wishes that she had never given birth to Sayu, which makes Sayu break into tears. 

Yoshida nearly tosses his beverage at Mrs. Ogiwara’s face yet shockingly keeps his composure. He is in deep thought regarding how it is not a kid’s choice to be born or not.

Yoshida calmly tells Mrs. Ogiwara that the parents must deal with their youngsters, and if she will not deal with Sayu, he will take her in himself.

Yet, he clarifies he would not like to do it except if compelled to because the parents are a definitive directing light in the kid’s life. Then, to stress his point, he goes on his knees and asks a staggered Mrs. Ogiwara to take care of Sayu. 

Confounded by this demonstration, Mrs. Ogiwara breaks down and tells everybody to get out of the room. 

Outside, Sayu comforts Yoshida saying that she can stand on her own feet now without Yoshida’s assistance and feels like the world has pardoned her. Ogiwara returns and says that Mrs. Ogiwara has calmed down and will allow Sayu to stay with them under particular conditions. 

The episode ends with Yoshida requesting to converse with Mrs. Ogiwara once again. During this time, she assures him that she will take some time to consider her future with Sayu and requests that he return to Tokyo the following day.

Higehiro or I Shave My Beard. Then I Pick Up a High School Girl is a novel series by Shimesaba. It was later adapted into a light novel series and manga. Its anime adaptation will air in April 2021.

Yoshida, an employee at an IT company, gets rejected by the girl he has liked for 5 years. Drunk and sorry, he heads back home but meets a highschool girl who strikes a deal with him.

They could sleep together if he lets her stay in his place. Even though Yoshida is against the decision at first, he slowly relents.
