Halo Infinite new maps and cosmetics revealed as a part of Cyber Showdown 3

Summary

  • Halo Infinite has received a new limited-time event called the Cyber-Showdown 3.
  • This event will continue the new battle pass system announced in January.
  • There are seven new maps, a load of cosmetics, and a reward for purchasing the Battle Pass for 500 credits.

Developers 343 Industries are working hard to make Halo Infinite one of the best multiplayer titles of the current time, with many titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Fortnite, and Counter-Strike 2 dominating the market.

Halo Infinite’s developers, 343 Industries, have released a new trailer showcasing the latest Cyber Showdown limited-time event and the host of new rewards, cosmetics, and tweaks it will bring to the game.

Halo Infinite was released on December 8th, 2021, after a notoriously long and challenging development phase that excluded multiple parts of the game that was initially planned for.

Based on the community livestream in January 2024, the developers confirmed they are moving away from the paid Battle Pass system. They are doing this to move towards shorter, more minor content updates.

These updates will be called “Operations” in the context of the title. Each operation will feature 20-tier free battle passes, lasting between 4 and 6 weeks.

However, for USD 5, players can purchase 500 credits to unlock the battle pass permanently. This will allow them to finish the battle pass at their own pace.

Cyber Showdown is the third iteration of this new battle pass system. 343 Industries gives players the Emberbreak armor coating when they purchase the battle pass for 500 credits.

Cyber Showdown 3 will focus on the Chimera armor core with various customizable “viral machine” parts. An excellent example of this is the Tector Augmentor Shoulder Armor.

Cyber Showdown 3 will also add several new maps to the game. These include one arena-style ” Elevation ” map and six community-made maps for the husky raid CTF.

The limited-time event was released on March 5th, and player reception will come soon. Players can download the update and explore the title and the Forge, which has given a second life to the title.
