2. Recap of Grand Blue Season 2 Episode 2
Shiori was really disappointed to see what had happened in Chisa’s room, and found it even more outrageous that Iori agreed to marry Chisa. She explained that through simple observation, one could tell that nothing indecent had happened between them, which nullifies any reason for Iori to marry Chisa, and Nanaka also agreed to this. Following this, Iori introduced Shiori to everyone from Peek a Boo, and all of them found her to be very endearing.
As expected, Kouhei was angry, so he tied Iori up and brought a chainsaw to cut him into pieces. He agreed to spare Iori if Shiori were to call Kouhei “Kouhei onii-san”, which she found to be really embarrassing, so she called him “Kouhei onii-sama” instead. After this, we learnt that Iori’s house ran a Ryokan (a Japanese Inn), and Shiori was expected to succeed her father, as Iori was too stupid to run a business. Iori didn’t like getting called stupid, but he also didn’t want to succeed in the family business.
Later, it was revealed that Shiori didn’t really have a brother complex. She wasn’t bad with gadgets either. She just acted as an obsessed little sister to try and train Iori to become a decent person: someone good enough to succeed the family Ryokan, because she didn’t want to. She came all the way to Iori’s place so that she could discipline him.
Later, the whole group went diving to have Iori’s license test completed. Nanaka and Iori went ahead with Iori’s test, and the other group had fun diving. They also invited Shiori to dive, but Shiori did not want to acknowledge Iori’s hobbies, as it would go against her whole plan, so she refused. Later, her uncle told her to try it out because he wanted her to get all sorts of experiences, so she decided to try it anyway. She didn’t have a revelation like Iori did, but she did find it soothing.
3. Speculation of Episode 3 of Grand Blue Season 2
Shiori realised later that Iori knew all along that she didn’t want to succeed the Ryokan. He asked her to muster the courage their tell their parents about the same. This was an emotional scene because Shiori thought her brother knew nothing about her, but Iori wasn’t as stupid as she thought, and could act like a big brother after all.
The upcoming episode of the anime will feature a very crazy drinking party, in which Aina also gets drunk. If you remember, Aina gets pretty crazy when she’s drunk, and there’s no exception to that this time too, because she put makeup on, and even stripped.
