God Of War Ragnarok gets an update aimed at fixing gameplay and UI bugs

After the Game Awards 2023 announcement, God of War received its latest DLC – Valhalla – bringing increasingly difficult combat encounters.

Soon after the release of God Of War: Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC, developers Santa Monica Studios released their latest update, 05.03, which fixes several gameplay-related bugs. This update also fixes the difficulty of specific sections of the story, along with fine-tuned changes to combat sequences. There are also a host of bug fixes to the title, along with UI changes.

The Cinematics of God Of War: Ragnarok has been fixed, wherein the developers have cleared up the lingering Draupnir Spear particles when the cinematic of the gameplay starts.

There are many gameplay changes with the reduced difficulty of the first Tyr fight on the “Show Me Will” difficulty setting. There is also increased difficulty in some arena challenges.

There are also fine-tuned adjustments to “The Forum” that make the difficulty more amicable – something that will not remind the players of Dark Souls or Sekiro.

There are also fixed visual bugs like floating pieces of Hunter Armor Pieces. A recurrent issue of Kratos falling through the world after walking through a Mystic Gateway has also been resolved.

Changes to UI/UX have also been made. Numerous instances have been fixed that caused buggy visuals in-game, along with navigation pointing in the wrong direction.

The developers have also listed even more changes in the changelog. These changes will make the gameplay even smoother and more enjoyable with the recent release of the Valhalla DLC.
