2. Fire Force Season 3 Episode 4 Recap
The 4th episode of Fire Force, titled, “Golden Secret”, started with the continuation of the fight between Gold and the remaining members of Company 8. Vulcan handed Tamaki two orbs, which could boost Tamaki’s firepower, with the hopes that they could assist in their battle against gold. Meanwhile, Viktor deciphered that Gold was using the gold in her gauntlet to produce magnetic fields that could control iron.
Tamaki used her new trump card against Gold, only to see her come out unscathed. Apparently, she had undergone intense training to be resistant to attacks from pyrokinetics, so she was a poor match for Company 8. Once Gold’s attacks became more unstoppable, everyone realised that their metallic belt enabled Gold to control their movements, so everyone took their pants off for the remainder of their battle.
At this point, Lisa stepped in and decided to help the group with her magnetic flames, which could interfere with Gold’s magnetic field a bit. Meanwhile, Viktor devised a plan to stop Gold by diffusing her gauntlet. For this, they’d have to coat her gauntlet with a ferromagnetic material that could overpower her magnetic field. For this, they used Tamaki’s tail to make a pot, in which they heated many metal parts to make molten metal. In higher temperatures, these metals lose their magnetic property.
Tamaki poured this material over Gold’s gauntlet in their next fight, which disabled her skill. Hinawa immediately killed her with his gun after this. The fight wasn’t over, though, because right after Gold fell, her allies stepped in with a more lethal ability. Tamaki would’ve gotten injured pretty bad if Arthur hadn’t made his timely appearance. He took down his foe in the blink of an eye, just like a knight should. One would think his team would’ve thanked him for his intervention, but he, in turn, got berated for separating from the party.
Meanwhile, on Shinra’s side, Captain Burns seemingly already reached stage 4 of Voltage Nova. The likelihood of them winning reduced a lot, and this was probably why Shinra chose to talk here. He blamed Captain Burns for not being a responsible member of the Fire Force and told him that he was doing a disservice to the people he served. To this, Burns replied, saying that he served god above all humans, and that he was carrying out God’s desire. He then ordered for the insect to be inserted inside Obi.
3. What To Expect In Episode 5 of Fire Force Season 3?
Since the latest episode of Fire Force season 3 ended with Obi getting tagged with the insect, the upcoming episode will feature Obi turning into an infernal. This will be a very painful moment for all the members of Company 8, especially for Shinra, who has to watch his captain turn into an infernal.
There would likely not be time for them to mourn his death, though, as the post-credit scene of the latest episode has teased Obi’s infernal to be an extremely powerful one. The direction of the anime after Obi’s transformation isn’t clear yet. The White Clad may either allow Obi to rampage around, or they may find a way to tranquilize him and use him later.
