Elden Ring is one of the few titles that has amassed a great fan following with minimal marketing and advertisement. Their publicity remains less than impressive, with fans gathering information mainly from leaks now and then.
Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, who is a reputed leaker in the gaming circle, has revealed that there is a possibility that Elden Ring’s upcoming Shadow of Erdtree DLC will be released on June 21st, 2024. It has now been confirmed that the release date is indeed June 21st.
The date of June 21st is a logical conclusion, and there is no official document or manifesto hinting at the release of the DLC on the said date.
However, the date of June 21st is the release date for many other versions of Elden Ring, released more than two years after its initial launch in February 2022.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Game of The Year Edition will be shipping on the said date with physical copies for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A collector’s edition will be launched on the same day, with a hefty price tag of USD 279.99.
One thing to note is that Elden Ring had a Collector’s Edition at its initial launch, i.e., in February 2022. The new collector’s edition will contain a 40-page hardcover artbook, a 46cm Messmer the Impaler statue, a voucher code, and an official soundtrack.
The gameplay teaser video shows that Shadow of the Erdtree is about Miquela, the most mysterious of Elden Ring’s demigods. It explores a new map called the Land of Shadow with unique abilities, NPCs, and adversaries.
The trailer also hints at a new demigod who appears quite ominous with a red fire aura and a snake that follows them around. We also glimpse the new Great Rune, hinting that there will be at least one demigod to defeat in Shadow of Erdtree. With the release a few months away, players can brush up on Elden Ring basics by finishing the title again if they have not already.

Elden Ring is the next major title to be released by FromSoftware, the developers of Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne and the Dark Souls franchise. Elden Ring is set to release on the February 25th, 2022.
The game is set in a world known as The Lands Between. Players will take control of a Tarnished to explore these lands and uncover the secrets it holds. The game is an open-world style title with emphasis on combat and traversal. There is also a multiplayer component, along players to summon others for co-operative play, or to be invaded for PvP encounters.
