Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai E56: Release Date, Speculation

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai episode 55, titled “The Black Core,” is the latest installment of the anime.

The episode was filled with nail-biting action as Baran tried his best to stop the Black Core from detonating. All his attempts fail when Mystvearn reveals his true form and activates the Black Core, affectively destroying everything except the Palace itself.

We find out that Dai, Hyunckel, Maam, Crocodine, and Popp had survived the explosion and were the only ones left to defeat King Vearn.

How will Dai and the others react to the unfortunate outcome of the Hadlar vs. Baran battle? Will they finally defeat the Dark King once and for all? Keep watching to find out.

Episode 56 Speculation

The last episode revealed the true form of Mystvearn, who plays a significant role in detonating the Black Core. Hyunckel, Maam, Crocodine, and Popp survive the blast and rush to find Dai.

In the preview, we see that Dai survived, but there are no signs of Baran or Hadlar. Baran likely sacrificed himself to save Dai, and after his crushing defeat, Hadlar most probably didn’t survive the explosion either.

It is now up to Dai and the others to defeat King Vearn. The next episode will show us the wrath of Dai as he comes face to face with the Dark King.

Episode 56 of the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime, titled “The Inherited Heart”, has been released on Friday, Nov 05, 2021.

Episode 55 Recap

Episode 55 starts with Hyunckel and the others fighting with the rest of the guards. The battle between Hadlar and Baran resumes as Baran beats the hell out of his opponent. Hadlar tries to pierce through his body, but Baran’s ultimate Dragonoid form is far too superior.

Back at the Palace, when King Vearn realizes that Hadlar cannot win, he decides to detonate the Black Core, calling it an act of mercy. He stops when he sees Hadlar still fighting with a broken arm. Baran, too, is surprised to see him still wanting to fight.

Hadlar says that simply waiting to die on the ground was worse than his pain, so he will continue fighting and keep trying his best. As a single sweat drop escapes Hadlar’s tired face, the two warriors blast off towards each other.

Baran defeats Hadlar in a single blow. King Vearn tries to detonate the Black Core, being sure that it will kill Baran. He is shocked when the core doesn’t explode.

Baran tells King Vearn that the only reason why he accepted Hadlar’s challenge was so that he could prevent the Black Core’s explosion with his Draconic Aura.

He takes out the Black Core from Hadlar’s body, and Hadlar is surprised to discover that his master had planted a bomb inside him. He finally understands why Dai and Baran were holding back. Hadlar becomes miserable since he put his life on the line just for a fair fight.

The Reaper reappears at King Vearn’s court and mocks Hadlar. Vearn decides to go near the Black Core to destroy it. Reaper tells him that it will be shameful if the King goes, so Mystvearn is assigned this task.

Hadlar asks Mystvearn if, like his master, he thought that Hadlar was just a pawn. Mystveran tells him that the Dark King’s words take precedence over everything else. Mystvearn reveals his true form and activates the Black Core.

There is a massive explosion, and the king believes that he has demolished everything but the palace itself. He removes the barrier around the Vearn Palace and decides that it is time to erase the surface world.

With the explosion of the Black Core, all the rocks should have turned to ash, but some stones remained.

He asks Mystvearn to have the Heyedras search for survivors and find Hyunckel, Maam, Crocodine, and Popp on the left-wing. Hyunckel tells the others that they were outside the Vearn Palace, and they’re shocked at this discovery.

Dragon Quest is an anime and manga series based on the rpg video game of the same name.

The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.

The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
