Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 269, titled “Trailblazer,” was the latest chapter released for the manga.

If Narumiya was scary before, he’s absolutely terrifying now. His improvement is finally beginning to worry Seiou as they acknowledge every aspect of his improved pitches.

Narumiya isn’t worked up but isn’t calm and composed either. This vibe is totally different from his usual self. Kuramochi decides that he will hang on until Narumiya throws a meatball. Much to his dismay, Narumiya throws a fastball outside, getting three strikeouts in a row.

Things like improved spin rate are making a tangible impact on Narumiya’s pitching. Still, the pressure of being the only ace of the prestigious Inashiro Jitsugyou leads to his success.

Seidou finally understands what Furuya meant when he had told them that Narumiya’s pitches are even better than they first were.

Sawamura breaks the tension and encourages his team by saying that the guy they’ve trained to beat for the whole year is bound to become more capable. His impeccable pitching only makes him an opponent worth bringing down.

Furuya was also deeply motivated by Narumiya’s record-breaking pitch and breaks his own record by throwing at 156 kmph.

Ace of Diamond is a Japanese shōnen baseball manga series by Yuji Terajima and published by Kodansha. Weekly Shōnen Magazine has serialized it from 2006 to 2015. A sequel titled Ace of Diamond Act II started in 2015. An anime adaptation ran from 6 October 2013 to 28 March 2016.

The protagonist is Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher with a very strange changeup pitch that is natural to him but surprising to others. Sawamura plans to go to a local high school and play baseball with his friends, to showcase their skills and win the matches.
