Fans had high expectations from Activision when they announced that details would be revealed about the zombie mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare III at the CoD NEXT event. They were not disappointed.
The zombie mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be an open-world mode with access to several vehicles, as seen in Call of Duty: Warzone. The Juggernaut armor will also be available. The open-world setting will be that of the Warzone map called Urzikstan.
Lots of new weapons were also spotted in the Zombies Reveal Trailer. Fans were pleased to see the return of the Ray Gun. However, the Ray Gun can only be acquired from the mystery box.
The developers also mentioned that the world zombies mode will have a massive three-headed monster that shoots laser beams from its mouth.
Earlier, in a cinematic trailer, Activision had already revealed that the cause of the zombie outbreak was the familiar figure of Victor Zakhaev.
Task Force 141, led by Captain “Soap” MacTavish and Kate Laswell, is tasked with containing the outbreak. While the motives have not been revealed, the trailer sets a sinister tone.
Activision also revealed the Lockpick Operator in a separate trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. This operator will arrive as a pre-order bonus exclusive to the PlayStation users.
This is not the only added benefit PlayStation users are getting. They will experience Modern Warfare III in all its glory five days ahead of all other platforms.
With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III a little over a month away on November 10th, fans are prepared to slay all zombies in sight as well as embrace a brand-new gaming experience in what will be a new era for the Call of Duty franchise with a lot of changes.
