The wait is over. Crunchyroll has officially released the first full trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, the opening chapter in the final trilogy of the series. The movie will premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025, before expanding to global theaters throughout August and September. Tanjiro and Nezuko are returning for the Final War, alongside the Hashiras.
When and Where to Watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle
Infinity Castle opens in Japan on July 18. It begins rolling out internationally starting August 14 in Malaysia and Singapore. Fans in the US and Canada will get access on September 12, with screenings available in both subbed and dubbed formats, including select IMAX theaters. After its theatrical run, the film will stream on Crunchyroll. A Netflix release is expected later but has not been officially confirmed.
What’s Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle About?
Infinity Castle picks up right where the Hashira Training Arc left off. As the Demon Slayer Corps trains for the inevitable final showdown, Muzan Kibutsuji launches a surprise assault on the Ubuyashiki mansion. The Hashira and Tanjiro rush to respond but are suddenly pulled into the demons’ twisted stronghold, the Infinity Castle. From there, the final battle begins.
This is the first of three films that will cover the climactic arc of the series. The director, Haruo Sotozaki, returns after his work on Mugen Train, and once again, Ufotable is handling the animation.
New Trailer Released for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle
The trailer delivers everything fans hoped for, featuring Ufotable’s jaw-dropping animation and intense, emotional battles. It also reveals two new theme songs: “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer, and “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA. Both tracks will be released globally on July 18, the same day as the Japanese premiere. A snippet of a new instrumental theme also teases what’s to come.
We will see Tanjiro face off with Akaza in what could become one of the most iconic fights in the series. Zenitsu is going to get his long-awaited moment against Kaigaku. Nezuko’s transformation will continue, and as the Hashira are spread out, forced to battle the Upper Moons in isolated, brutal encounters, we will see battles getting harder than ever. The tension is real, and no character feels safe.
Why Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is Important
Infinity Castle isn’t a side story. It’s the official start of the finale, adapting the manga’s final arc. Like Mugen Train before it, this movie is part of the core narrative. Every moment counts. The anticipation is massive, and considering the franchise’s track record, it’s expected to smash box office records all over again.
Even the Tsuzumi Mansion Arc compilation film, made from episodes of season one, recently broke Japanese theater records. If a re-release can do that, the numbers for a brand-new final arc film are going to be wild.
When Will Infinity Castle Be on Netflix?
There’s no confirmed Netflix release date yet. The film will stream on Crunchyroll after its theatrical run, and Netflix is expected to follow. Based on past trends, late 2025 or early 2026 seems likely.
Conclusion
This movie kicks off the end of an era. Infinity Castle is the turning point in the Demon Slayer story. With sky-high animation quality, raw emotional stakes, and iconic fights that fans have waited years for, the excitement is justified for sure.
