Episode 7 of Deaimon was very enjoyable. So far, Hiiro seems to be a decent character. It’s okay if she isn’t perfect all the time because nobody is. She even shows admiration for Masa without being romantic. She is also enthusiastic about school.
Nagomu is just a nice dude who likes to frustrate his dad, and, in general, is a happy person that helps convince the mother of one of his siblings that she must not make fun of her child in public as she did when she was a toddler.
It’s very amusing to see Istuka’s friends say, “Hey, that’s Itsuka…what should we call him?”. Most of the conflict in this episode is resolved within half of the episode, but that is kind of the norm for this show.

Episode 8 Speculations
I hope that the next episode will be as interesting as episode 7. I had a great time with episode 7, and I expect the anime keeps the bar high in the upcoming episodes as well.
We will see Miss Manoko in the upcoming episode visiting Kyoto, but the story arc is still being developed.
Hiiro has now been finally introduced, so the show is going to be awesome, and Nagumo’s flashbacks promise more interesting episodes to come. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the new episode.

Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7 was interesting and full of comfy vibes that discusses the pressures of perfection and how unintentional actions can cause a lot of harm.
The character, Hiiro, is finally introduced, who has been in the OP and ED this entire time. The young lady will be doing an apprenticeship in the shop.
After seeing Masa’s amazing confection art piece, she was inspired to try wagashi. This was further reinforced when he visited her school. There’s just one problem: she’s a strict and unyielding perfectionist to the very last degree.
Masa sits with her after she breaks due to being scolded, and helps her to recover. We should see more scenes of them together since I see a very wholesome student/master bond forming between them.
It gives us a glimpse into Nagumo’s childhood and a truly wholesome lesson. As he tells his class, he had a flashback to when they laughed at his dream of making Wagashi resemble his family.
As we flash forward to the present, Nagumo and his father are teaching. Until we understand why this little girl isn’t having a good time, we keep focusing on her.
I thought that was a very sweet moment about the fact that even when you have the best intentions, some actions actually do more harm than good. Her mother laughing at her mistakes isn’t intended to dismiss her or humiliate her, but the effect on her self-esteem is still hurtful.
Having his teacher step in and giving him the confidence to not give up gave him the confidence to not back down from his dream, I liked how they tie it back to Nagumo’s flashback.
An overall nice episode, but I’m excited for next week after seeing the teaser. To conclude, let’s look at when and how Nagumo and Konoko met. As much as I’d like for them to proceed, I’m hoping they eventually get back together for a little bit more.
