In episode 9 of Deaimon, Nagomu just went on the most awkward Christmas date and was unfazed. You’ve got to love how dense he is. Mitsuru and Kanoko quietly battling over Nagomu were pretty fun to watch. Plus, we got a great song out of it too.
It’s nice that Itsuka got to spend Christmas with her mom, but I have mixed feelings about her ( and the dad). I consider Nagomu and his parents as her real family. They’re there for Itsuka. Nagomu’s parents have been there for as long as she has lived with them.
I find Nagomu and his family more reliable than her biological parents. I get that we don’t know everything about the relationship between Itsuka’s mom and dad, and I’m sure it’s complicated, but I think they haven’t been perfect parents to Itsuka.

Episode 10 Speculations
Episode 10 of Deaimon is titled “Reminiscing About Waiting for Spring.” Nagomu and Itsuka saw the first sunrise. Seeing the sunrise now would indicate that winter has passed or is about to pass. They would be reminiscing about spring after seeing it for a long time.
As the title suggests, there will be a lot of nostalgia about the wait for spring. Still, images from the preview told they were making sweets for preorders while discussing spring.
Especially the children will seek out “Koume-san.” The identity of this figure is still unknown.

Episode 9 Recap
As Christmas approaches, Nagomu’s birthday also comes nearer, making him curious about Itsuka’s birthday. As Nagomu inquires about Itsuka’s birthday, the latter denies having any information.
As a present, Itsuka is given a Christmas tree and a letter promising her mother will visit her. Her mother has always broken her promises, so she does not trust her mother’s promise.
At the same time, Nagomu breaks the yuzu juicer he received from his grandfather when he was born. Remembering the incident, he goes to get it repaired.
After accidentally telling Itsuka about Nagomu’s birthday, Kanoko feels terrible when she declines to tell him about hers. He gets a ticket from her on the morning of Nagomu’s birthday, March 26.
Mitsuru accidentally asks Nagomu out on Christmas eve. Nevertheless, Nagomu brought Kanoko along, not knowing it was supposed to be a date. On their date, Itsuka listens to Nagomu’s Christmas song as a gift to them, and Nagomu performs a Christmas song for them.
