Jiji’s supposed to get exorcised, but it turns into a headbanging concert, and somehow, after all this, we end up at a maid café? There’s a lot going on in this episode.

2. Recap of Episode 6 of Dandadan Season 2
We continue from the last episode where Jiji transformed into Evil Eye and went on a rampage, destroying the entire Ayase household. Seiko calls a bunch of exorcists, called the Hayashi Performers, to get rid of the Evil Eye spirit from Jiji, but a rock-band shows up instead. Everyone is equally confused. Turns out the emo rock band performs spiritual exorcism through their music. Their banger performance actually does nearly take out Evil Eye, but Jiji begs everyone to let the weakened yokai go as he promised to be its friend.
Okarun, moved by Jiji’s emotional outburst, promises to help Jiji keep Evil Eye in control, and Momo and Aira join in on the deal. Seiko cancels the exorcism and accepts the Evil Eye as part of their strange little family. With the ritual called off, Seiko begins training Jiji to control his spiritual power and keep the Evil Eye under control. Momo, having gone through similar training when her psychic powers awakened, also joins in. Okarun stays up to help Jiji as well, which is a nice full circle moment of Okarun being on the giving end of the help after receiving it so many times.
Momo begins hunting for a part-time job to help fix their house. Meanwhile, Mi and Muko drag Okarun to a surprise visit at a maid café, where, surprise, surprise, they find Momo, in a full-blown maid dress. Yep, we finally have ourselves a cliché. The episode ends with a very mortified Momo serving a very flustered Okarun.
3. Speculation of Episode 7 of Dandadan Season 2
Episode 7 will likely continue the hilarious encounter at the maid café, with Okarun and Momo being awkward and silly, while the others have the time of their lives. We’ll probably also see more of Jiji’s training, which, for everyone’s greater good, works out. There is no way we won’t get some disaster incident out of a Dandadan episode, so it’s safe to expect another ghost or an alien to crash the hangout.

‘Dandadan’ is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service since April 2021. An anime television series adaptation produced by Science Saru is set to premiere in 2024.
Momo Ayase is a high school student who believes in ghosts, but her classmate Okarun believes in aliens instead. To determine who is correct, they make a bet and decide to visit locations associated with both the occult and the supernatural separately.
Ayase visits places related to ghosts, while Okarun visits sites about aliens. When they reach their respective areas, they discover they are only half-right. It turns out that both aliens and ghosts exist.
