Things are only getting more intense in Dandadan Season 2 as the battle underground continues. With Jiji now possessed by the terrifying Evil Eye, and Momo and Okarun barely keeping up, fans are in for another wild ride in Episode 3.

2. Recap of Episode 2 of Dandadan Season 2
Last episode, the Tsuchinoko’s psychic waves nearly drove Okarun and Momo to take their own lives. Jiji, the only one unaffected, tried to save them while fending off the worm. Just when all hope seemed lost, a strange yokai, the Evil Eye, arrived and nullified the Deathworm’s attacks.
Okarun regained his senses, transformed, and sliced the Tsuchinoko in half, only for it to regenerate. The group tried to escape, but the Evil Eye made direct contact with Jiji, revealing its tragic past as a sacrificed boy, locked away and forgotten. The heartbreaking story moved Jiji so deeply that he agreed to “play” with the boy, fulfilling the Evil Eye’s condition to possess his body.
Now in control, the Evil Eye uses Jiji’s body to annihilate the Tsuchinoko. However, it soon turns its powers on Momo, declaring war on humanity itself. Just as it is about to land a devastating hit, Okarun steps in to protect her, and the episode ends with the two facing off in midair.
3. Speculation of Episode 3 of Dandadan Season 2
Episode 3 will likely dive straight into the Okarun vs. Evil Eye battle. With Jiji now fully possessed, Okarun will have to fight hard without seriously hurting his friend. Momo, meanwhile, will probably try to figure out how to separate Jiji from the yokai’s grip.
The trio may also try to expose the Tsuchinoko to sunlight, a possible weakness hinted at earlier. Expect more emotional tension, unpredictable yokai action, and maybe even the beginning of a new alliance if they can find a way to connect with the Evil Eye.
If the first two episodes are anything to go by, Episode 3 will keep raising the stakes and fans won’t want to miss it.

Momo Ayase is a high school student who believes in ghosts, but her classmate Okarun believes in aliens instead. To determine who is correct, they make a bet and decide to visit locations associated with both the occult and the supernatural separately.
Ayase visits places related to ghosts, while Okarun visits sites about aliens. When they reach their respective areas, they discover they are only half-right. It turns out that both aliens and ghosts exist.
