2. Recap of Chapter 198 of Dandadan
The latest chapter of Dandadan started out with Momo revealing her new plan: to inflict as much damage as they could to the eye of the typhoon. For this, she used her powers to hold Zuma and Jiji in position, and Jiji shot at the typhoon with his evil gun with all his power, but the eye regenerated almost instantly. In retaliation, the eye shot lightning, which the whole lot painstakingly dodged.
Momo then said they should jump into the eye of the typhoon, and when everyone thought Momo had finally lost her marbles, she asked Naki Kito to have the great serpent swallow as many frozen sharks as possible. The woman was hesitant, but realised that she had no better plan, so she did it anyway. They then dived to the eye, and had the serpent spit sharks out when it discharged electricity, and it turned out ice acts as a pretty good insulator that kept them safe from the typhoon’s electricity.
Right when they were about to crash into the eye of the typhoon, Momo made a sharp steer and had the serpent move downwards. She then said their goal wasn’t the eye, but the typhoon itself. Momo asked Jiji to shoot his evil gun right at the sea. She explained that only the first 50-100 meters of the sea water was warm, and the layers below that were actually cold. So if Jiji shot his evil gun at the sea and stirred the water, the seawater would cool down, and the source of the typhoon would cease to exist.
This was a brilliant idea, and Jiji did exactly what Momo had instructed him. He shot at the sea for a while but didn’t see much change. However, time was running up, and the eye of the typhoon had begun to charge again. At this point, Zuma too joined in and used his umbrella as a propeller to increase the power of Jiji’s evil eye. The last few panels of the chapter featured pure catastrophe in the middle of the ocean.
3. What To Expect In Chapter 198 of Dandadan?
Momo’s brilliant idea is almost in action now, and the final moments of the latest chapter have shown the eye of the typhoon dissipating. If luck is on their side, the typhoon human would be defeated by the next chapter. That said, considering how Seiko hasn’t had a role in defeating the typhoon yet, we can expect the typhoon to pull one more stunt.
