2. Recap of Chapter 196 of Dandadan
Seiko laid out the plan to defeat the typhoon. Basically, Momo would have to pull in the flying sharks, and with the help of Jiji’s palm wave, they’d knock the sharks into the human typhoon. The frozen sharks would cool the temperature of the water vapor in the typhoon, which would then form water droplets or ice. They could also knock the sharks directly to the base of the typhoon, which could cool the water and destroy the typhoon at the source.
Seiko then said they’d need to get as close to the typhoon as possible, and she left to pilot the plane. She had no knowledge of how to pilot an aircraft, but knowing her, she’ll be able to pull it off somehow. Momo and Jiji did exactly what Seiko instructed them to, but they didn’t see any immediate results, which is obvious. Meanwhile, the Kito family seemed to have some other plans of their own.
Naki Kito then went on to perform some weird ritual, as a result of which the Mongolian Death Worm was summoned, and it struck through the ceiling of the airplane, and went around eating many of the flying sharks. Everyone was shocked to see the worm, as they thought they had already handled it, but Naki Kito revealed that right after Momo defeated the worm, they discovered many of the worm’s eggs, had them hatch, and fed the wormlet livestock to have it grow in size.
She then explained that the dehydrated worm actually shrinks in size, so it’s really easy to pack, and once given enough water, it reverts to its original size. Momo and Jiji initially thought this worm would be a new pain in the neck to deal with, but Naki Kito actually had the worm chew sharks and spit it at the typhoon, so they were actually trying to help, not sabotage Seiko’s plan.
3. What To Expect In Chapter 197 of Dandadan?
In the upcoming chapter of Dandadan, we can expect the human typhoon issue to be more or less resolved, as with the help of the Kito family, Momo and Jiji would be able to lower the water temperature more quickly than Seiko had predicted. Let’s hope Seiko can actually navigate the plane well, as their plan does depend on this.
Assuming that their plan goes well, we can expect the Kito family to explain their business on the plane. Since they overcame a disaster together, we can expect both sides to have a temporary ceasefire. However, this situation will likely only arise after Chapter 197.
