Dragon Quest: Dai no Daiboken episode 52, titled “Father and Son Dragons Set Out,” aired this week.

In the latest episode, we got to see our father and son duo team up even though they are not on good terms with each other. We also learned a little bit about Dai’s mom and Baran’s feelings towards her and him.

After Dai and Baran and the others set out for battle, Hyunckel, who was severely injured, regained consciousness and headed to the Field of Death.

Episode 53 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daiboken episode 53 is “Hadlar’s Challenge.”

The last episode ended with Baran finding himself in a tough spot due to Fenbren’s attack.

Nonetheless, we all know that Baran is not that weak. After all, he is Dai’s father.

We will definitely see Baran show Fenbren why he is known as a Dragon Knight and establish the difference in strength between them.

I’m also sure that Fenbren is not the only obstacle to reaching Hadlar. We can expect to see Hadlar play some games with Baran and Dai.

Recap of Episode 52

Episode 52, titled “Father and Son Dragons Set Out,” starts with everyone discussing who will go to the Dark Citadel gate to take on Hadlar’s challenge.

At that moment, Baran arrives and states that he and Dai will be the ones to face Hadlar.

Everyone’s a little taken aback since they all know that Dai and Baran do not have an amicable relationship.

Baran then further makes his case by saying that there is no better duo than the father and son, who are both dragon knights.

After realizing this fact, the others had no choice but to oblige with what Baran had to say.

While Baran and Dai are set to face Hadlar, Popp and the others are preparing to face Hadlar’s royal guards, whom they faced previously.

Before departing for the underwater gate, Dai asks his father about his mom, and his father gives him a very vague answer but states that he cared for her very deeply.

Dai then takes off without his father, and Baran thinks aloud, saying that he also cares very deeply for Dai but cannot express it.

Popp and the others are mocked by the royal guards when they show up without Dai and Hyunckel.

Meanwhile, Hyunckel regains his consciousness after being seriously injured and heads straight back to the Field of Death.

The episode ends with Dai and Baran being confronted by Fenbren, one of Hadlar’s royal guards, who is guarding the underwater gate.

Dragon Quest is an anime and manga series based on the rpg video game of the same name.

The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.

The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
