We have good news for anyone who is yet to play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and wants to get a taste of it. Activision has made the game’s outbreak and multiplayer mode free to play for one week to celebrate the rolling of the Cold War’s Season 2.
The Cold War’s free access week will start on Thursday, February 25, at 10 am PT and last till Thursday, March 4, at 10 am PT. Players will get an opportunity to try Multiplayer and Zombies content out. Moreover, a new Outbreak mode where you complete dangerous objectives will also be available to all.
The outbreak is based on the Dark Aether plot and lets you kill the undead in an immersive experience that involves tons of explosions and bloodshed.
Moreover, PS players will be able to try out the two-player Zombie mode called Onslaught. Here, players will fight and survive in multiple Cold War maps, including a new one called Apocalypse against challenging foes. Again, this mode is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and 5 users.
Other exciting new content that Season 2’s arrival will bring is Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, 40-player Fireteam mode, and Hardpoint modes. Such modes are perfect if you are looking for some old-school Call of Duty experience.
The much-beloved Gun Game is also set to make its Cold War’s debut, where you utilize 20 pre-determined weapons and advance through a series of levels. Moreover, other multiplayer modes like Gunfight Blueprints and Face-Off will be available for free.
The cherry on top is that players can also win double XP and double weapon XP from 10 am PT February 26 to 10 am PT March 1.
