Chicago PD’s ‘Upstead’ Shows Their Solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA Strike

The SAG-AFTRA strike continues to draw support from various celebrities, including One Chicago actors Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos.

The duo, who play Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton on Chicago PD, joined the picket line to demand fair wages for their work. They are among the many actors who have followed the WGA’s lead and gone on strike since July. The strike has been widely endorsed by other One Chicago stars on their social media platforms.

Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos participated in the SAG-AFTRA strike as they joined the picket line. Soffer posted a photo of them on his Instagram account, showing their solidarity with the labor union. The strike, which started in July, aims to secure fair wages for actors who work on streaming platforms. The photo can be seen below:

Derek Haas, the writer and executive producer of all One Chicago shows, also showed up at the picket line to support the SAG-AFTRA strike. He was joined by Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos, who play a married couple on Chicago PD.

Jesse Lee Soffer, who played Jay Halstead on Chicago PD, has returned to the show in a different role. He directed season 10’s “Deadlocked,” an episode that focused on Hank Voight.

Soffer contemplated making a brief appearance as Halstead but decided against it. However, there is no confirmation on when Soffer or Halstead will resume their roles on Chicago PD, which has disappointed many fans.

Jesse Lee Soffer’s involvement in Chicago PD as a director is appreciated, but many fans are eager to see him back on screen. His character, Jay Halstead, left his romance with Hailey Upton unresolved when he joined the army in Bolivia.

He assured her that he would be back in Chicago in about eight months. However, he has been away for much longer, and Upton has faced several life-threatening situations without him. The fate of their relationship remains uncertain.

The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have caused significant disruptions in the TV industry, and many shows are expected to face delays with their new seasons. This includes Chicago PD season 11, which fans are eagerly awaiting.

The strikes are still ongoing and have no clear resolution. However, once the situation is settled, the new episodes of Chicago PD may reveal more about the future of Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton’s relationship. The couple, who are played by Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos, have been apart since Halstead joined the army in Bolivia.
