Call of Duty titles are probably coming to Xbox Game Pass soon

Quite a lot of controversy surrounded Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This was mainly related to the Call of Duty titles, which people were scared would become Xbox exclusives.

Some fans have received Game Pass-related messages on Call of Duty titles in the Xbox game store. This could mean that Activision Blizzard is preparing the backend of the Xbox Store for the Microsoft-Activision merger that will be completed on October 18th.

These messages have been received for several Call of Duty titles like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This means Call of Duty is coming to the Xbox Game Pass quite soon.

The exact time frame is yet to be known. It can be as soon as the merger deal is closed, or it can be delayed, and the titles will be included in Xbox Game Pass in the final quarter of 2023.

The final verdict on the Microsoft-Activision Blizzard merger is set to be delivered between October 9th and 13th. The deal can go through or fall through, based on the decision.

If the deal is approved, it is expected that Microsoft will announce the titles included in the Game Pass as a part of its success.

Xbox has also hinted that the licenses for the games might be renewed. This means that players will enjoy the titles on Game Pass the same day they are released or at least hear about the future plans.

Players anticipate that classics like old Call of Duty titles Crash, Spyro, and Candy Crush will appear. Just like any other deal, the Microsoft-Activision deal is fueled by economic motives.

It is not a long wait until we know the final verdict and hopefully find our favorites there.
