Assassin’s Creed Mirage Playable Area measures up to 5 Sq. Miles

Even though Assassin’s Creed Mirage is one of the shorter games in the series, it boasts a vast open-world setting similar to other entries in the franchise. The game features a fascinating representation of ancient Baghdad with several beautiful locations.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is said to have one of the most unique and rewarding open-worlds in the series. Including the Wilderness, the playable area in AC Mirage is approximately 5 square miles.

The game features a variety of different environments ranging from a busy city to quiet deserts. However, most of the Wilderness, which is the desert in AC Mirage, does not have much worth exploring.

The city of Baghdad, where the majority of the game is set in, spans across 0.88 square miles. This is nearly the same size as Paris from Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage features a number of missions which will take you around the map. Since it is a tribute to the iconic series, players will also be taken to Alamut, the legendary home of the Creed’s founders.

If you want to discover unique collectibles such as treasures, lost books and enigmas, grab the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Map Pack! The accessory adds a filter to the in-game map which will highlight locations of missing books, treasure maps, clothing, upgrade blueprints and puzzles.

The idea behind downsizing Assassin’s Creed Mirage was to develop a small-scale RPG, complete with the essence of a classic Assassin’s Creed title. It might not have a dense world design like in AC Unity or a never-ending open-world as seen in AC Valhalla but it is still worth giving a try. Who knows, 9th century Baghdad might even grow on you!

About Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game is the thirteenth primary installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the successor to 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While its historical timeframe precedes that of Valhalla, its modern-day framing story succeeds Valhalla’s own.

Set in 9th-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age—in particular during the Anarchy at Samarra—the story follows Basim Ibn Ishaq (a character first introduced in Valhalla), a street thief who joins the Hidden Ones to fight for peace and liberty against the Order of the Ancients,[b] who desire peace through control. The main narrative focuses on Basim’s internal struggle between his duties as a Hidden One and his desire to uncover his mysterious past.
