Assassin’s Creed Red Female Protagonist revealed by Ubisoft writer

Fans have been asking for an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan for a long time and Ubisoft has sincerely responded to these requests. Assassin’s Creed Red is in the development phase and lucky for us, we finally have a glimpse of the much-awaited title.

Ubisoft writer Pierre Boudreau uploaded an image as his LinkedIn banner which seems to feature the female protagonist from Assassin’s Creed Red. An Assassin’s Creed logo can be spotted on the right hand side of the banner. However, the full image appears to be cropped.

Although the protagonist did make an appearance in the first announcement of Assassin’s Creed Red, she was hooded which prevented anyone from seeing her face. The latest image however features a close up at the presumed protagonist’s face.

The way this image found its way online suggests that this move was not part of official promotions. The image has since been removed and replaced by a picture from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

According to rumors, Assassin’s Creed Red may feature two protagonists instead of one– a female shinobi (as seen above) and an African samurai. If these leaks have any substance, Ubisoft will officially reveal both these characters soon enough.

It has not been confirmed whether there will be a choice between the two leads such as in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or whether they are both playable characters, as seen in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The way the storyline will unfold in Assassin’s Creed Red surely sounds interesting.

Ubisoft recently released Assassin’s Creed Mirage on October 5th. Even though multiple Assassin’s Creed titles are in development, it could be a while before we get to see the next one. However, Assassin’s Creed Red is rumored to be next in line.
