In the tenth episode of “Aoashi,” we take a slight break from soccer in general and follow an ever-disturbed Ashito, who is trying to figure out why his teammates were mad at him.
We are introduced to the school that all the youth players will be attending alongside being a part of Esperion Youth which just adds to the potential of some high school drama to the mix. However, the focus does not shift from the nucleus of the show, which is the sport itself.
The episode goes over many emotions, most of which are portrayed via the medium of Ashito and his mental state.
Ashito is confused, angry, and quite lonely to an extent, and just as he thought he had found the answer, he is thrust back into the same void, this time with a career-threatening ultimatum. Will he be able to find his answer?
Episode 11 Speculations
Ashito is still in that same loop of going through all possible reasons he can conjure up to answer why did his friends call him out at the end of the previous match. He collects whatever is left of his wits and approaches them and asks them directly, but that only makes it worse.
On his way out he is met with coach Nozomi who gives Ashito the ultimatum that if he doesn’t figure out the answer to his question by the time the match comes around, then he would be benched for the next three months.
Ashito is lost, and now that his one-track mind has made sure that his one true supporter, Hana, is mad with him as well, he does not have her to save him one last-ditch effort as well.
The next episode is going to take us directly to the match. Ashito has very little time to figure everything out and make amends or he might just be putting his career in danger.

Episode 10 Recap
The Spring break has rolled around, and the members of the youth team get one full day off to go visit their families or just roam around if they wish to do so.
Most of the members being locals leave to either visit their families or friends. Ashito, hailing from Ehime, cannot visit his family but is in no hurry to see them or talk to them either.
He feels that he has been in Tokyo for less than a month and has no right to call home before he achieves something worth bragging about.
Ashito’s mind is still set on what coach Nozomi had told him. He is trying to figure out what made Kuroda and Asari so mad at him, but he comes up empty. The only plausible solution to this problem that he comes up with is training.
Thankfully, Hana comes to the rescue and coaxes him out to show him the school where all the youth team players would be joining since it is affiliated with Esperion. She had also prepared meal plans for him for the next six months in advance, but instead of thanking her, Ashito lashes out.
Ashito simply wanted to go and practice, and to him, Hana and her attempts to keep him healthy and possibly happier were all mere distractions from his ultimate goal. He screams at Hana until she is in tears. She says nothing, her only response is a dropkick to his face.
Ten days later, the school has finally started for the youth players, and a lot of our misfits are in the same class. Ashito is sharing the classroom with a lot of known faces, which also include Ohtomo and Yuma.
Yuma sees that Ashito is down and tells him that whatever it is shouldn’t be dragging him down for too long because even the B-Team plays in league matches.
Hearing that, Ashito feels that there is no point in racking his brain and coming up with nothing. The quickest way is to sort things out with Asari and Kuroda directly who also happen to be in the same class.
He goes up to Kuroda and Asari and tells them that he is an idiot who does not understand until things are not spelled out for him. He then takes to the blackboard and explains what was going on in his mind when he had made that pass which made the two mad.
Asari is not impressed, but Kuroda indulges him. He asks Ashito to explain what other strategies he had in his mind during that moment. Ashito excitedly explains all of his tactics, all ending with him scoring.
It seemingly rubs Asari the wrong way as he erupts at Ashito, calling him selfish. Ashito fights back, saying that as a forward, he is merely doing his duty.
Asari goes a step too far, and Ohtomo takes offense as well. The back and forth gets so heated that the parties have to be pulled apart by their peers.
Ashito mulls over it on his way back, where he meets coach Nozomi who gives him the news that he will be a starter in the next match. It comes with the ultimatum that if he does not figure out his answer by that time, then he will be benched for the next three months.

Aoashi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits since January 2015.
The story follows Ashito Aoi, a third year middle school student from Ehime, who meets Fukuda Tatsuya, a “J Youth League” coach.
Even though he’s still rough around the edges, Ashito has such amazing potential that he gets invited to participate in his team’s try-outs in Tokyo.
