The latest episode of The Beginning After The End started with Arthur’s parents being overjoyed at their son’s return. Arthur introduced himself to his little sister and then told his parents everything about what had happened to him in the past few years. That said, he did leave out quite a few details, like about Sylvia and how he inherited the beast will. He told them that his chest pains were due to his early awakening to mana.
He made up a lie to explain about how he found Sylvie, too. It greatly pained him to feed his parents with lies, but Virion had warned him not to let others know about the beast will as it would only attract unnecessary trouble, so he decided only to let them know once he got powerful enough to not be bothered by any potential repercussions.
Reynolds then asked Arthur what stage his mana core had reached. He himself revealed that his mana core had reached the dark orange stage. He also told Arthur that he was working as a security instructor at the Helstea Auction House, and his continuous training at the place had made him stronger. Arthur then revealed that his mana core was at the light red stage. Mana cores get stronger as their shades get lighter. Arthur’s mana core was almost as developed as his father’s, which was really shocking for everyone.
This discussion was interrupted by the appearance of the Helstea family, who were Reynolds’ employer. They came to see Arthur on hearing that he had returned, but didn’t get much time to talk with him, as Reynolds took him outside to have a sparring session. After watching the whole fight, Reynold’s employer, Vincent Helstea, suggested that Arthur should attend the Xyrus Academy, which is the most reputable institution for mages. This was probably what was best for Arthur’s future, but the boy himself didn’t seem very interested in the idea.
